Why Hungary? real benefits for your family
Citizenship by descent — no relocation required and, in most cases, no language exam. Real mobility for your family: live and work anywhere in the EU, and study on local terms. Family-forward: include children where the law allows and pass rights to the next generation.A reliable route: eligibility confirmed, records found, and filings handled correctly.

What else makes Hungary a sought-after destination?
Hungary is a stable, centrally located EU member with respected universities and high-quality healthcare. Budapest, Debrecen, and Szeged offer many English-taught programs in medicine, engineering, architecture, and more. Cost of living and tuition are often lower than in the U.S. or Western Europe, with excellent rail and air links across the continent. For EU citizens, it’s even smoother: study on local terms, work without extra permits, and move freely across 27 countries.

Are you eligible for Hungarian citizenship?
Hungary has two routes to citizenship:
The Heritage Route – The main route for Israelis. Suitable for descendants of a person born in the territory of present-day Hungary

If the son/daughter of a Hungarian native was born before '57, only their father can serve as a basis for citizenship.

If the son/daughter of a Hungarian native was born after '57, both the father and the mother can serve as a basis for citizenship.
Important to know: If the Hungarian native left the country before 1929, an additional legal solution is required. There is no generational limit - even grandchildren and great-grandchildren of a Hungarian native may be eligible.
Hungarian Naturalization Route
The naturalization route is intended for descendants of natives of "Greater Hungary" (territories that formerly belonged to Hungary). This route requires passing a language test at the embassy—a conversation in Hungarian with the consul—as a condition for receiving citizenship.
