Poland is one of Europe’s most pivotal countries, and the Polish passport is among the strongest and most sought-after. Thousands of Israelis have already secured Polish citizenship through their family roots—many without realizing they were eligible. With Polish citizenship, you gain the freedom to live and work across the entire European Union, access world-class universities at significantly lower tuition, and enjoy streamlined opportunities for careers and business. You also benefit from visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to many destinations worldwide, and the citizenship can be passed on to your children—turning family history into a long-term asset.

Who is eligible to Polish citizenship?
Eligibility for Polish citizenship is passed down from generation to generation with no generational limit — and anyone who lived in Poland after 1920 may have descendants who are eligible for citizenship. However, there are important exceptions:
Women born before 1933 – if they immigrated to Israel before 1951, they lost their eligibility

Women born after 1933 – if they immigrated to Israel before 1951, it must be checked whether their father served in the IDF. If the father did not serve – the family is eligible

Men born in Poland and who immigrated to Israel before 1951 – if they did not serve in the army in 1948–1951, their descendants are eligible. Those who served in those years lost their eligibility
